Diamond N Quarter Horse Ranch
240 Acres More or Less, 128 Acres C.R.P., Balance Pasture and Farmstead

The Diamond N Quarter Horse Ranch is located in Washington Co. KS. It has been in my family for over 100 years and I have farmed it since 1950. The land has been in the C.R.P. program for the past 18 years. I extended the contract last spring so it will run till 2010 for $48 an acre for the 129 acres of C.R.P. The rest is pasture and farmstead. The house, buildings, and fences are in poor condition and in need of some repairs. Most of the farm ground is terranced except for 29 acres along the east side of the 160 .
All waterways are established. The two ponds are east of the horse barn and each have around an acre of surface area when full. The lower pond has a plastic pipe through the dam that runs all the time to lower the pond approximately 6 inches a week. The 28ft well has been in use since the late 1950's. It has never failed to provide adequate water for the farm's livestock, however, it is high in gypsum, lime, and possibly other chemicals. If the buyer would prefer , the Fairbury Rural Water line is approximately 1/8 mile from the farm on Heritage Road, hook-up is possible.
Wildlife is plentiful on the farm. Their are numerous deer, turkeys, pheasants, and many other varmits.
